Set out from your hotel or residence in Mexico City and begin a captivating journey through the cultural, architectural, and historical layers that shaped one of the most fascinating capitals in the world.
Your experience begins in the Historic Center, where colonial grandeur and contemporary city life meet atop centuries of living history. Walk through elegant streets lined with ornate façades and historic buildings as your guide shares the story of Mexico’s transformation from pre-Hispanic civilization to colonial power and modern metropolis.
Arrive at the Zócalo, Mexico City’s monumental main square and one of the largest public plazas in the world. Here you’ll enter the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Latin America, and admire its soaring altars, sacred artwork, and impressive architecture.
Continue through the historic district to admire the elegant exterior of the Palacio de Correos, a remarkable example of early twentieth-century eclectic architecture inspired by Venetian design. Nearby, stroll through Plaza Tolsá, surrounded by landmarks including the National Museum of Art and the Palace of Mining, celebrated for its neoclassical beauty.
The route continues to the magnificent Palacio de Bellas Artes for an exterior visit. Its white Carrara marble façade and dramatic Art Nouveau details make it one of Mexico’s most iconic architectural masterpieces.
From there, enjoy a panoramic drive along Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City’s most celebrated boulevard. Inspired by Parisian avenues, this elegant thoroughfare reveals both the city’s historic monuments and contemporary skyline. Along the way you may admire landmarks including the Angel of Independence, Diana the Huntress Fountain, and monuments honoring important historical figures.
The final stop is the National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico’s most important museum and one of the finest of its kind in the world. Inside, your guide leads you through the legendary Aztec Hall, home to monumental treasures including the famous Aztec calendar stone and extraordinary artifacts that reveal the story of ancient Tenochtitlan.
After an unforgettable five-hour cultural experience, return comfortably to your original departure point.

EXCELLENT Based on 21693 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor madeira kVerified Amazing history and cenote! My 2 friends and I loved this tour. It is a long day so prepare yourself. I brought sunscreenn, water, portable charger, towel, water shoes, bathing suit, and a hat and I was ready to go. The tour picks you up early because it is an all day thing so it's best to get an early start. An important thing to remember is that it is an extra charge to get into Chechen itza itself. Before we got there our a tour guide collected pesos or USD if you had it or you could purchase them before you got there. It saved us so much time waiting in an unnecessary line. Once we got there the tour was great. We really loved our tour guide Miriam, we felt that we got to learn lots of new things about the important history of the place. After Chechen itza, we headed to the cenote/buffet lunch. The cenote was beautiful and felt amazing after being in the hot sun. There was a platform that you could jump off and it was such a beautiful experience. I was pleasantly surprised with the buffet food. They had lots of different choices to choose from, it felt like all types of food that you are for sure going to find something you like. It’s your choice whether you want to go in the cenote first or eat first. It’s about 2 hours to do both things and then meet back at the bus. After that then we heated to the small town of Valladolid. It is such beautiful town. We only had 30 minutes there so we decided to do a tequila tasting. We met these great Mayan people who love to share the amazing tequila that they make and that you can only buy there. They had delicious flavors like vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and almond. They were so delicious I wanted to buy a bottle but I had no space in my suitcase. Next time I go back I am for sure saving space for a bottle of the vanilla tequila! My 2 friends and I absolutely loved and enjoyed every second of that day. Would 10/10 recommend, the history of the place is so powerful and everyone needs to experience a cenote in their life!Posted on Tripadvisor Luis RVerified Great Tour!
