EXCELLENT Based on 21693 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor madeira kVerified Amazing history and cenote! My 2 friends and I loved this tour. It is a long day so prepare yourself. I brought sunscreenn, water, portable charger, towel, water shoes, bathing suit, and a hat and I was ready to go. The tour picks you up early because it is an all day thing so it's best to get an early start. An important thing to remember is that it is an extra charge to get into Chechen itza itself. Before we got there our a tour guide collected pesos or USD if you had it or you could purchase them before you got there. It saved us so much time waiting in an unnecessary line. Once we got there the tour was great. We really loved our tour guide Miriam, we felt that we got to learn lots of new things about the important history of the place. After Chechen itza, we headed to the cenote/buffet lunch. The cenote was beautiful and felt amazing after being in the hot sun. There was a platform that you could jump off and it was such a beautiful experience. I was pleasantly surprised with the buffet food. They had lots of different choices to choose from, it felt like all types of food that you are for sure going to find something you like. It’s your choice whether you want to go in the cenote first or eat first. It’s about 2 hours to do both things and then meet back at the bus. After that then we heated to the small town of Valladolid. It is such beautiful town. We only had 30 minutes there so we decided to do a tequila tasting. We met these great Mayan people who love to share the amazing tequila that they make and that you can only buy there. They had delicious flavors like vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and almond. They were so delicious I wanted to buy a bottle but I had no space in my suitcase. Next time I go back I am for sure saving space for a bottle of the vanilla tequila! My 2 friends and I absolutely loved and enjoyed every second of that day. Would 10/10 recommend, the history of the place is so powerful and everyone needs to experience a cenote in their life!Posted on Tripadvisor Luis RVerified Great Tour!
