The price of entry to Chichen Itza includes an additional cost set by Cultur, supplementing the fee determined by INAH. This additional fee contributes to the conservation of the archaeological sites.

Here are the detailed and itemized entrance prices for various visitor categories: foreigners, Mexicans, locals, and minors.

General entrance prices for Chichen Itza:

  • Foreigners: $614 MXN or $37 USD ($524 MXN or $31 USD for Cultur and $90 MXN or $6 USD for INAH).
  • Mexicans: $278 MXN or $17 USD ($182 MXN or $11 USD for Cultur and $90 MXN or $6 USD for INAH).
  • Residents of Yucatán are exempt from the Cultur supplement: $90 MXN or $6 USD.
  • The use of a personal video camera incurs an additional cost of $45 MXN or $3 USD.

Skip-the-line entrance prices for Chichen Itza:

The only online ticket purchase option for visiting Chichen Itza is the skip-the-line entrance purchase. This ensures you have guaranteed entry upon arrival and avoids long queues.

After purchasing, you’ll receive an online ticket to be redeemed at the Calendario Maya store. Present the digital ticket inside the booth to obtain the printed entrance ticket for Chichen Itza.

Free access to Chichen Itza:

Access to the Archaeological Zones is free every day for:

  • Children under 13, students, and teachers.
  • Elderly individuals with a valid ID.
  • Sundays offer free entry for Mexicans and residents.

Important: Upon payment, visitors receive two receipts:

  • One ticket validates payment to the State Government (Yucatán).
  • Another ticket confirms payment to INAH. It’s crucial to have both receipts at all times, as inspectors may inquire about them.

Additionally, visitors arriving by car must pay for parking, available a few meters from the entrance.

One of the most anticipated events of the year is the descent of the feathered serpent, occurring during the spring and autumn equinoxes around March 21st and September 21st.

Night Experience – Kukulkan Nights:

For a magical evening experience, witness the light and sound show at the Kukulkan Pyramid on Fridays and Saturdays when the General Admission is $708 MXN or $42 USD. And Sundays General Admission is $450 MXN or $27 USD.

The show starts at 7:00 pm, And its tickets are available from 3:00 pm.
